Creative Scrappers Challenge - #299 - Goodbye!...

Today I have challenge layout to share with you. This time it is with the guys over at Creative Scrappers. You may have seen that I have been using some of the Creative Scrappers layouts recently as I made their 'creating with sketches' book. Which I have been loving! and I have found it really speeds up the scrapbooking process, no more wasting hours on Pinterest!

Anyway back to the today's layout challenge. Here is the Sketch...

Here is my layout...

I used the Maggie Holmes Styleboard collection and for the stars I cut out a few on my Silhouette Cameo.
The page is documenting the day that The Brighton Wheel closed. Sofie and I were lucky enough to go on one of the last few ever voyages so of course we had to snap a few fun photos.

Stuck?! Sketches Challenge - October 1st - Appendix Removed!...

Today I have another challenge layout for you from Stuck?! Sketches. They run challenges twice monthly this is the 1st one for the month of October -

Here is my Layout -

I used the collection Heart from Simple Stories for the first time (which I didn't realise was about grieving for a lost one) along with a few odd doilies, sequins and enamal dots from my collection, to document the story of when I got my appendix removed earlier this year.

Do you play along with any sketch challenges? I really am loving them at the minute.

Lets Get Sketchy - Laugh Together...

Happy monday everyone! This morning mum and I completed this weeks Lets Get Sketchy Challenge. Here is the what the sketch looks like...

And here is the layout I created...

The photo is just an odd one that I took on my phone one day when mum and I were having coffee.

I used the paper collection Confetti from Maggie Holmes and a few other odd bits from my stash. The word laugh is Heidi Swapp's and one of the doilies is from Stampin Up and the other is just dove craft's. The pink and yellow enamel dots that you can see scattered on the page are actually made using my new Nuvo drops which I love and feel I need the whole collection!!

Do you play along with any challenge's?

Adventure...

Today I have to share with you a scrapbook layout I created using two cut files. The first one is the globe which I saw on the silhouette store and knew I had to have straight away! And the second is just the word adventure which I just typed out and cut to fit on top of my photograph.

When I first started this page I actually thought I was going to use the negative of the globe and have the blue stripes coming though but with much playing around I switched it and am now very happy I did! I have still kept the negative so you might see that pop up some time in the future.

The photograph is just one I snapped of the airplane which we flew on, on our way home to England from America on our last visit.

The background paper is actually from the simple stories - say cheese collection but the other paper and embellishments are from one of my favourite collections called lets go by Bella Blvd.

#thedailymarker30day - Day 7 - Chill Out + Splash...

I have a slightly different scrapbook layout to share with you today. I have been very brave and used the packaging affect on it, to create a water splash like effect on the layout.

I think it works perfectly with the photos of my cousins playing on Clearwater beach, just slashing and having fun in Florida and also works very well with the collection Fun In The Sun by Pebbles.

I am using it for my day 7 of the 30 day colour challenge as well by Kathy Rac. As it uses ink and colour. :P

CSI Challenge 206 - Celebrate With Friends...

Today I have to share with you another CSI case file. You might remember just a little while ago I played along with the CSI challenge for the first time well  I loved it so much I just couldn't stay away! This is the case file for challenge #206 -

The SCHEME
- All colours accounted for
The EVIDENCE
- Stars
- Stripes
- Something Woven (In the picture)
- Frames
- Fabric
- Metal
- Wood
- Circles
-Grid
THE TESTIMONY:
- Inspiration Word: Celebrate

The photo is one of the group of us that visited America this past may. We actually meet up with my uncle and his family who was also visiting Florida to celebrate my cousins 3rd birthday at Mickeys Backyard BBQ!

I used the paper collection Say Cheese by Simple Stories and the star background is one I cut out on my Silhouette machine. I also cut one for my mum so make sure you go and check out how she uses hers on her blog

I didn't actually use much else on this layout. The title uses Thickers called Oakleaf in Rocky Road and the wood veneers are from american crafts, all the other bits and bobs are either from the ephemera kit or just odd bits I had in my collection like the tag and the metal paperclips. Oh and what you can only very lightly see is that I have distressed the star cut file slightly with the distress ink Walnut stain.

I hope you like my layout and I can't wait to see what everyone else makes with this case file!

Stuck?! Sketches Challenge - July 1st - Characters In Flight...

Today I have another challenge layout for you from Stuck?! Sketches. They run challenges twice monthly this is the 1st one for the month of July -

Here is my layout -

I used the collection Lets Go from Bella Blvd to document the trip we had on the airballon in Disney Springs on our last visit to America. #paperettesontour

I think the sketch worked perfectly with the photos and it was so nice to work with a sketch! I have to admit I have never worked from one before I have always just made it up as I go! But it was so nice and I will definitely be playing along with this challenge again.

Do you work from a sketch? I would love to see what you create with this sketch...

#PaperettesonTour - Beautiful Scrapbook Layout...

Today I have a scrapbook layout to share with you which I created using the My Story collection from My Minds Eye. I think I am actually in love with this collection!

The photo is one of many that were snapped on our craft tour to america, this is the group of us on one of the first mornings in a town called Celebration that we visited to for a lovely breakfast!

I fussy cut the flowers from one of the 12 X 12 sheets. Its the first time I have done that and gosh it took a long time but I am really happy with the way they turned out and love the way they cluster together. The word Beautiful is a die cut from Kaisercraft which comes in a set of three called Cherish.

As i'm sure you can tell I am very happy with the way this layout turned out and I cant wait to work with this collection again!

Crazy! Silly! Yoga!

One of my favourite collections is quite an old one that teresa collins released back in 2014 but I still love working with it! I have had these last few embellishments and scraps of the collection hanging around for some time now because I was scared to finish the collection! I have decided that that's so silly! If i want to look at it it needs to be in an album not in the draws!

I just picked some randoms photos that were snapped back a few years ago one evening, when me and my sister decided to attempt yoga, we even managed to drag our dad into it in the end!

Happy New Year!!

Finally 7 months later! I have scrapped the photo that was taken on new year's day when all the family including our good friend Kay went out for dinner to celebrate!

I have used a piece of paper from the office suite collection by Fancy Pants and just some odd red tissue paper that I had in my stash. The gold glitter Thickers I used are from a pack I picked up in america called Fitzgerald. I also used the winsor and newton ink in gold and black for the splatters on the page.

CSI Challenge 204 - Dream...

I have wanted to join in on one of the case files from CSI for a little while now but worried that my style of scrapbooking didn't really seem to match the layouts that they normally post for inspiration, but I saw this weeks challenge case file #204 and knew I had to play along.

The SCHEME
- All colours accounted for
The EVIDENCE
- Damask Pattern
- Stripes
- Hearts
- Flowers
- Borders
- Frames
- Doilies
- Bunting
THE TESTIMONY:
- Something I love
Inspiration Word: Dream

The photo was snapped in front of Cinderella's castle back in november when we visited Magic Kingdom. I used the paper collection Enchanted by Simple Stories and the word Dream I designed and cut out on my Silhouette machine.
I also used three dies on this layout which are the Banner at the top right from My Favourite Things, the hearts which are from Memory box and the clouds which is actually a cupcake top from sizzix but works perfectly as a cloud.
The pattern you can see on the blue paper under the word Dream is a Wow! stamp called Vintage Wallpaper which I just stamp in Versamark.

Day 4 - Magic...

While we visited a small town called Celebration. We came across this fire engine parked up while the fire brigade stopped and got coffee, so as you do we quickly jumped on and snapped a few photos, while we was doing this they actually came back and invited sofie into the cab of the truck for a few extra photos. I think only in america they would be this friendly and not think of us as freaks! lol.

I used the Simple Stories Say Cheese collection again and the word 'Magic' you see is also from the collections ephemera pack. I really do love this collection and find it very easy to work with as it all coordinates with each other. I hate it when a collection doesn't all match itself.

Old Town Orlando...

On the evening of day four of our last america trip, we visited old town orlando which were holding a All-American Muscle Car Cruise which features show-quality, American-Made Muscle Cars from 1964 and newer. Which as you can imagine dad really enjoyed. These are a few photos that I snapped while walking around.

I used the amazing simple stories say cheese collection and Gilded thickers in gold and the three paper clips that you see are from american crafts.

Day 11 - Clearwater...

My next layout I have to share with you is of photos that I took on our day 11. On this day we drove across to a city called clear water about 2 hours away from where we were staying. It was a great day out and lovely to see the america sea. It was a amazing atmosphere on the beach and although it was busy and super hot!

On this layout I have used a cut file for the background that mum and I challenged each other to use, you can see hers HERE. Behind it I have punched circles of the Maggie Holmes - Confetti collection to fit in the circles plus cut down a few of the photos that were taken on the day.

I am really happy with the way this layout has turned out, but since taking the photos i have actually added the word clearwater onto the bottom of the picture. Have you ever used a large cut file as a background?

Favorites - Orando Shopping...

The day after we landed in Orlando we hit the shops! This is just a quick snap Mum took of Dad, Sofie and I heading to the next shop!

I used mainly the collection Confetti from Maggie Holmes. It was just a few pieces from the ephemera pack plus that lovely 'Favorites' title is from a pack of Mambi chips I picked up while I was out there. If you can get your hands on them they are amazing! You need them in your stash!

It's a very simple layout but I am super happy with the way it turned out, especially with the string in the tags.

America Here We Come...

Here I have scraped the pictures of us on our way to america, back in November 2015. Recently I have been trying to complete all the layouts of the adventures we had on this holiday before I go again in May! Just ONE month away now! Eek! So you will see a lot of this holiday coming up.

I have used the papers from the collection Serendipity by Dear Lizzy and the wood veneer airplanes are from Studio Calico.

The photos aren't that interesting but it was nice to capture these smaller things that would normally just happen and forgotten.

The Making Of Our Disney Tree..

Quite a while ago I saw on pinterest somebody had documented the way their family decorate there christmas tree every year. I thought this was a brilliant idea so here is my version of it...

I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I must remember to make the effort more to take photos specially for a scrapbook idea I have, normally I just take the photos and then think of the scrapbook layout.

Do you take photos specially for a certain project you have in mind?

Sisters..

Back in August last year mum done a mini photo shoot over on the fields in Saltdean of my sister and I. We were all really happy with how the photos turned out as it hadn't been planned at all. Today I am sharing with you how I have scrapped my two favourite photos that were taken.

I have used the collection Confetti from Crate paper and the word sticker are from Heidi Swapp.

These two Pages do actually sit side by side in the album so the banner across the top connects the two.

Glasses..

Recently I finally manned up and went to the opticians, I have known I have needed to go for a long time but I just kept putting it off but at the beginning of the year Boots randomly sent me a voucher, so I just booked it! When I went there it wasn't much of a surprise when they said I have to wear glasses.

The photo I have scrapped in this layout is just a selfie I took when I got back to the car after just collecting my glasses, I think they look ok on me actually I am slowly getting used to wearing them.

I have used the lovely collection My Story by My Minds Eye as it had the perfect piece of paper in it that I knew I just had to use!
