Brighton Mini Mile...

Yesterday my cousin Danny (My Uncle Deans Step-Son) ran in the Brighton Iconiq Shlurp Mini Mile race.

He is the only one so far in the family that is truly sporty. Don't get me wrong we have all dabbled in all different kinds of sports in the past but none of us have really exceeded in it. That was until Danny of course he loves it! He gives everything a go and truly enjoys it, so when his school offered him the opportunity to run in the mini mile he jumped at the chance.

He was in the boys group aged 8 - 11 so being just 8 years old himself he was one of the youngest in the group but that didn't stop him from giving it his best shot. Here he is doing the warm ups before the race...

Then they were off...

There was properly about 200 boys in his group and he finished in the first quarter so he done great considering he was one of the youngest. Here he is crossing the finish line...

He was utterly exhausted by the end, bless him but still managed to collect his medal!

Here he is with his mum Gloria, Dean and his uncle Sebastian who is over from Columbia at the moment celebrating his victory...

We made him a banner to cheer him on and to embarrass him a little :p

Be Back Soon!
