Adventure...

Today I have to share with you a scrapbook layout I created using two cut files. The first one is the globe which I saw on the silhouette store and knew I had to have straight away! And the second is just the word adventure which I just typed out and cut to fit on top of my photograph.

When I first started this page I actually thought I was going to use the negative of the globe and have the blue stripes coming though but with much playing around I switched it and am now very happy I did! I have still kept the negative so you might see that pop up some time in the future.

The photograph is just one I snapped of the airplane which we flew on, on our way home to England from America on our last visit.

The background paper is actually from the simple stories - say cheese collection but the other paper and embellishments are from one of my favourite collections called lets go by Bella Blvd.

#PaperettesonTour - Beautiful Scrapbook Layout...

Today I have a scrapbook layout to share with you which I created using the My Story collection from My Minds Eye. I think I am actually in love with this collection!

The photo is one of many that were snapped on our craft tour to america, this is the group of us on one of the first mornings in a town called Celebration that we visited to for a lovely breakfast!

I fussy cut the flowers from one of the 12 X 12 sheets. Its the first time I have done that and gosh it took a long time but I am really happy with the way they turned out and love the way they cluster together. The word Beautiful is a die cut from Kaisercraft which comes in a set of three called Cherish.

As i'm sure you can tell I am very happy with the way this layout turned out and I cant wait to work with this collection again!

CSI Challenge 204 - Dream...

I have wanted to join in on one of the case files from CSI for a little while now but worried that my style of scrapbooking didn't really seem to match the layouts that they normally post for inspiration, but I saw this weeks challenge case file #204 and knew I had to play along.

The SCHEME
- All colours accounted for
The EVIDENCE
- Damask Pattern
- Stripes
- Hearts
- Flowers
- Borders
- Frames
- Doilies
- Bunting
THE TESTIMONY:
- Something I love
Inspiration Word: Dream

The photo was snapped in front of Cinderella's castle back in november when we visited Magic Kingdom. I used the paper collection Enchanted by Simple Stories and the word Dream I designed and cut out on my Silhouette machine.
I also used three dies on this layout which are the Banner at the top right from My Favourite Things, the hearts which are from Memory box and the clouds which is actually a cupcake top from sizzix but works perfectly as a cloud.
The pattern you can see on the blue paper under the word Dream is a Wow! stamp called Vintage Wallpaper which I just stamp in Versamark.

Day 4 - Magic...

While we visited a small town called Celebration. We came across this fire engine parked up while the fire brigade stopped and got coffee, so as you do we quickly jumped on and snapped a few photos, while we was doing this they actually came back and invited sofie into the cab of the truck for a few extra photos. I think only in america they would be this friendly and not think of us as freaks! lol.

I used the Simple Stories Say Cheese collection again and the word 'Magic' you see is also from the collections ephemera pack. I really do love this collection and find it very easy to work with as it all coordinates with each other. I hate it when a collection doesn't all match itself.

Old Town Orlando...

On the evening of day four of our last america trip, we visited old town orlando which were holding a All-American Muscle Car Cruise which features show-quality, American-Made Muscle Cars from 1964 and newer. Which as you can imagine dad really enjoyed. These are a few photos that I snapped while walking around.

I used the amazing simple stories say cheese collection and Gilded thickers in gold and the three paper clips that you see are from american crafts.

Day 11 - Clearwater...

My next layout I have to share with you is of photos that I took on our day 11. On this day we drove across to a city called clear water about 2 hours away from where we were staying. It was a great day out and lovely to see the america sea. It was a amazing atmosphere on the beach and although it was busy and super hot!

On this layout I have used a cut file for the background that mum and I challenged each other to use, you can see hers HERE. Behind it I have punched circles of the Maggie Holmes - Confetti collection to fit in the circles plus cut down a few of the photos that were taken on the day.

I am really happy with the way this layout has turned out, but since taking the photos i have actually added the word clearwater onto the bottom of the picture. Have you ever used a large cut file as a background?

Favorites - Orando Shopping...

The day after we landed in Orlando we hit the shops! This is just a quick snap Mum took of Dad, Sofie and I heading to the next shop!

I used mainly the collection Confetti from Maggie Holmes. It was just a few pieces from the ephemera pack plus that lovely 'Favorites' title is from a pack of Mambi chips I picked up while I was out there. If you can get your hands on them they are amazing! You need them in your stash!

It's a very simple layout but I am super happy with the way it turned out, especially with the string in the tags.

America Here We Come...

Here I have scraped the pictures of us on our way to america, back in November 2015. Recently I have been trying to complete all the layouts of the adventures we had on this holiday before I go again in May! Just ONE month away now! Eek! So you will see a lot of this holiday coming up.

I have used the papers from the collection Serendipity by Dear Lizzy and the wood veneer airplanes are from Studio Calico.

The photos aren't that interesting but it was nice to capture these smaller things that would normally just happen and forgotten.

Travelling Thailand...

I recently returned from three weeks in the beautiful Thailand, and with some great photos from the adventure, I thought I'd pop up a post to share my travelling experience!

I first flew into abu dhabi where I meet my ex-boyfriend Hamudii (we are still best friends) and then we flew onto the city of bangkok, where we had a hectic rush to book a internal flight into Phuket. Once we had safely arrived into phuket we hopped into a taxi to our hotel which was called Sugar marina Resort located on Karon beach.

Hamudii had been to Thailand a couple of times before but never had been outside the capital Bangkok, so in true Matthews style on the first day I took it apon myself to book every tour we had time for so him and myself could truly appreciate everything Phuket had to offer us.

These are a few pictures I took of the journey...

As you can see from the pictures we had an amazing time, Thailand is truly such a beautiful country, in the three weeks we where there we had plenty of time to relax on a few of the beaches it had to offer, stroke a variety of different animals, see some amazing views and top up my tan in the process.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my adventures!
