Creative Scrappers Challenge - #299 - Goodbye!...

Today I have challenge layout to share with you. This time it is with the guys over at Creative Scrappers. You may have seen that I have been using some of the Creative Scrappers layouts recently as I made their 'creating with sketches' book. Which I have been loving! and I have found it really speeds up the scrapbooking process, no more wasting hours on Pinterest!

Anyway back to the today's layout challenge. Here is the Sketch...

Here is my layout...

I used the Maggie Holmes Styleboard collection and for the stars I cut out a few on my Silhouette Cameo.
The page is documenting the day that The Brighton Wheel closed. Sofie and I were lucky enough to go on one of the last few ever voyages so of course we had to snap a few fun photos.

Crazy! Silly! Yoga!

One of my favourite collections is quite an old one that teresa collins released back in 2014 but I still love working with it! I have had these last few embellishments and scraps of the collection hanging around for some time now because I was scared to finish the collection! I have decided that that's so silly! If i want to look at it it needs to be in an album not in the draws!

I just picked some randoms photos that were snapped back a few years ago one evening, when me and my sister decided to attempt yoga, we even managed to drag our dad into it in the end!

Happy New Year!!

Finally 7 months later! I have scrapped the photo that was taken on new year's day when all the family including our good friend Kay went out for dinner to celebrate!

I have used a piece of paper from the office suite collection by Fancy Pants and just some odd red tissue paper that I had in my stash. The gold glitter Thickers I used are from a pack I picked up in america called Fitzgerald. I also used the winsor and newton ink in gold and black for the splatters on the page.

CSI Challenge 204 - Dream...

I have wanted to join in on one of the case files from CSI for a little while now but worried that my style of scrapbooking didn't really seem to match the layouts that they normally post for inspiration, but I saw this weeks challenge case file #204 and knew I had to play along.

The SCHEME
- All colours accounted for
The EVIDENCE
- Damask Pattern
- Stripes
- Hearts
- Flowers
- Borders
- Frames
- Doilies
- Bunting
THE TESTIMONY:
- Something I love
Inspiration Word: Dream

The photo was snapped in front of Cinderella's castle back in november when we visited Magic Kingdom. I used the paper collection Enchanted by Simple Stories and the word Dream I designed and cut out on my Silhouette machine.
I also used three dies on this layout which are the Banner at the top right from My Favourite Things, the hearts which are from Memory box and the clouds which is actually a cupcake top from sizzix but works perfectly as a cloud.
The pattern you can see on the blue paper under the word Dream is a Wow! stamp called Vintage Wallpaper which I just stamp in Versamark.

Day 4 - Magic...

While we visited a small town called Celebration. We came across this fire engine parked up while the fire brigade stopped and got coffee, so as you do we quickly jumped on and snapped a few photos, while we was doing this they actually came back and invited sofie into the cab of the truck for a few extra photos. I think only in america they would be this friendly and not think of us as freaks! lol.

I used the Simple Stories Say Cheese collection again and the word 'Magic' you see is also from the collections ephemera pack. I really do love this collection and find it very easy to work with as it all coordinates with each other. I hate it when a collection doesn't all match itself.

Old Town Orlando...

On the evening of day four of our last america trip, we visited old town orlando which were holding a All-American Muscle Car Cruise which features show-quality, American-Made Muscle Cars from 1964 and newer. Which as you can imagine dad really enjoyed. These are a few photos that I snapped while walking around.

I used the amazing simple stories say cheese collection and Gilded thickers in gold and the three paper clips that you see are from american crafts.

Day 11 - Clearwater...

My next layout I have to share with you is of photos that I took on our day 11. On this day we drove across to a city called clear water about 2 hours away from where we were staying. It was a great day out and lovely to see the america sea. It was a amazing atmosphere on the beach and although it was busy and super hot!

On this layout I have used a cut file for the background that mum and I challenged each other to use, you can see hers HERE. Behind it I have punched circles of the Maggie Holmes - Confetti collection to fit in the circles plus cut down a few of the photos that were taken on the day.

I am really happy with the way this layout has turned out, but since taking the photos i have actually added the word clearwater onto the bottom of the picture. Have you ever used a large cut file as a background?

Favorites - Orando Shopping...

The day after we landed in Orlando we hit the shops! This is just a quick snap Mum took of Dad, Sofie and I heading to the next shop!

I used mainly the collection Confetti from Maggie Holmes. It was just a few pieces from the ephemera pack plus that lovely 'Favorites' title is from a pack of Mambi chips I picked up while I was out there. If you can get your hands on them they are amazing! You need them in your stash!

It's a very simple layout but I am super happy with the way it turned out, especially with the string in the tags.

America Here We Come...

Here I have scraped the pictures of us on our way to america, back in November 2015. Recently I have been trying to complete all the layouts of the adventures we had on this holiday before I go again in May! Just ONE month away now! Eek! So you will see a lot of this holiday coming up.

I have used the papers from the collection Serendipity by Dear Lizzy and the wood veneer airplanes are from Studio Calico.

The photos aren't that interesting but it was nice to capture these smaller things that would normally just happen and forgotten.

Dani's Holy Communion Scrapbook Layout...

Hi all hope you are having a good day. I made this page a few nights ago to document my cousin Dani's First Holy Communion.

I think it came together so well. I love the pop of blue and the silver ink splatters.

For the embellishments I used a selection of wood veneers from Studio Calico, a few Stampin Up Speech bubbles from the set Just Sayin'  and then just some tag tops that I made using the Stampin Up punch.

Scrapbook Page using Stampin up Project life kit...

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you that I made using Stampin Up's This Day Project Life Kit. I recently have been really enjoying scrap booking again, I have a few more lined up to share with you.

For this layout I used some Iphone pictures that were taken earlier this year when we was being silly and taking shots with my new selfie stick, so I couldn't print them out to large. It was actually really nice to be able to make a layout that was really about the photos, more just making a nice layout and working with the Project Life kit.

I kept it quite simple and added just a few Stampin Up stamps from the set Point & click plus a few Thickers and gems.

Amy Tangerine - Plus One...

To document another day I spent in drusillas, I used the lovely Amy Tangerine Plus One collection which is full of big bright colours and lots of bold patterns. I have owned it since it first came out but just couldn't bring my self to use it, but I have decided its no good sitting on a shelf in my collection it should be used on a layout where it looks best. :)

Going Back in time to April...

Back in April I created these two Project Life pages using the Doodlebug Easter Parade Collection.

This first Page is to document Easter Sunday, which all the family gathered around Jobie and Kirsty's for a Easter Egg hunt :)

The second layout I created with the collection is about the day I took all my cousins and Sofie to visit Gaston Farm to feed the Lambs.

It was a lovely collection to work with and the animal images are just so cute!

Mum's Birthday...

For any of you that don't know it was mums birthday on Wednesday, this is the card I made for her...

It is using a digi stamp from the company Tiddly Inks, I have only recently found the company and I have become a little obsessed, I want to work with them all! I have also entered it into this weeks challenge. Here I coloured her in with my Copics.

The embellishments and patterned paper is from simple stories 'I Am' collection.

Another Project Life Layout...

I made this page a little while ago using some of the lovely Maggie Holmes 'Styleboard' Patterned Papers.

The photos are from a day back in April, when we had a walk and picnic in Tilgate Park, we ended up messing around and taking photos on some tree stumps we found on the river edge.

Jobie's Birthday...

Last saturday was my uncle jobie's birthday, this is the card I made for him...

Its a very simple card I made but I think it turned out quite effective and it was a great way to use up scraps! Here I used some of the paper I have left over from Mays's Kreative Kit.

We all went out for dinner to celebrate, we tried 'Smokey's' in Brighton, it was amazing! If you have never been there I really suggest you try it, if you love american style food. Don't judge it on the outside give it a chance and wow your be amazed. The potion size is huge and it all tastes great! They even have sweet potato fries which are my favorite.

Have you ever been? what did you think?

Scrapbooking??...

Recently I have been seeing Scrapbooking is coming back into style, So I gave it a go with a picture that was taken of all of the family outside The Blue Mango Restaurant on my Birthday Night.

It was really nice being able to work with this image, as I only had this one photo from the whole night so I thought that I wasn't going to be able to make anything with it at all.
I painted the blue umbra affect myself, just adding more and more blue (Tim Holtz Distess) ink gradually as I worked up the page.

It was a relatively easy layout to put together but great fun to create and scrapbook again! :)

Have any of you scrapbooked recently?

Austin's 2nd Birthday..

It was Austin's 2nd birthday on the Wednesday just been and to celebrate it we had a afternoon BBQ party at Jobie and Kirsty's house yesterday. We all had a great time and thankfully the weather was ok so we actually managed to eat outside and after assemble the outdoor swing set Nan and I brought him. :)

The Kreative-Kit...

On The bank holiday monday we all as a family went to the Ardingly spring fair, one of the activities there this year was this Water Zorbing, which of course Sofie and Dani both wanted a go on. :)

I made this Project life Page using this months Kreative-Kit. The page came together so easily I couldn't believe it! Its amazing how stressful and time consuming that starting stage is that you don't realise it doesn't need to be with a kit, it was lovely to just sit down and create and it was all there and done, all I had to do was print the photos and then I could create!

I love how this page turned out and it so lovely using the chipboard embellishments and matching paper from the Simple Stories Life Documented and all the matching goodies in the Kreative-Kit.

Have you ever worked from a kit before?

Project Life - Spring Bard Farm...

This is a project life page I made to document the trip me and the kids took to Spring Barn Farm early last year. I used a selection of my PL cards up on this layout. I think  I am trying to work my way through them as recently I have found my self enjoying using 6x6 paper pads instead of the project life cards.

We had a great day at the farm and I had forgotten about how good it was to be honest I must take the kids back there.

Have you ever been to Spring Barn farm?
