Besties - Img734...

So October is here! Hopefully this will be the month that we can get back out our coats and boots! Recently it has been really warm which of course is nice but honestly I miss the cooler evenings, autumn is my favourite season of the year!

Anyway with a new month starting means a new challenge is also starting over on The UK Besties blog, this months theme is Halloween.

I used the Besties Img734 which of course I coloured with my Copic pens and I was super brave and coloured black I used the C family along with 100 and i'm really happy with the result and it wasn't actually as hard as I thought it would be.

The back ground paper and the sentiment are both Doodlebug which I had left over from last year! The Black spiders web you can slightly see is from Stampin Up which again is left over from last year!

I cant wait to see what you create for the challenge!

Avery Elle - North Pole Pals...

My first Christmas card for the year is complete!!

I used the new North Pole Pals stamp set by Avery Elle which I coloured in with my Copic pens.

The Merry Christmas is also new to me which both are from stampin up, it seems crazy to be playing with Christmas things when it is so hot outside!

Besties - August Same But Different...

This is my card for this months Besties same but different challenge...

It was a gorgeous (as always) little girl called Valentine image 933 this month which I coloured in with a selection of my copic pens.

The dark wood grain piece of paper I used for the background is from an American crafts 6 X 6 paper of which I recently picked up in my local TK Maxx and the yellow is stampin up's crushed curry.

I love how the blue pops from the flowers on this card and I can't wait to see what lovely things you create to play along with the challenge!!

#thedailymarker30day - Day 3 + 4...

Over the last two days I have coloured another lovely Tiddly Ink image called Ellie says happy birthday.

This is how she looked at the end of day 3...

And then today day 4 I have finished the image and made her into a card :)

I have used two sheets of Doodlebug paper for the background from the 6 X 6 pad called kraft in colour. which is just a really great basic pad to have in your collection! The oval behind her is a die cut from MFT die-namics called Oval Open Scallop Doily. The banner in front of her legs is a new stamp the die set from Stampin Up which I recently treated myself to called Bunch of Banners and once again just a few odd sequins scattered on the card.

Christmas Baubles..

During the christmas season I snapped this photo of my reflection in one of our christmas balls. Although the background behind me isn't particularly christmassy, I still think it's a fun festive photo.

I Just used a Stampin Up 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper from there basics paper pads for the background edge. The ball balls are actually die cut out of Project Life cards from the Becky Higgins collection Christmas Wishes and the snowflakes are just two Martha Stewart punches, punched out of metallic silver card.

We've Got Buns Hun! Scapbook Page...

This is a layout documenting the day we went on an adventure to go and collect our new bunny rabbits and we had to all squeeze in the car on the way back.

They are only photos that were taken on my iPhone but I have decided that is ok and its better than no photos and forgetting these crazy moments.

The patterned paper is from a Stampin Up collection that was in last years catalog (Sorry). I love how fresh and clean the colours are.

I finished the layout off with some ink splatters which I think really finish the layout off and pull it all together.

Do you scrapbook with iPhoen photos?

Scrapbook Page using Stampin up Project life kit...

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you that I made using Stampin Up's This Day Project Life Kit. I recently have been really enjoying scrap booking again, I have a few more lined up to share with you.

For this layout I used some Iphone pictures that were taken earlier this year when we was being silly and taking shots with my new selfie stick, so I couldn't print them out to large. It was actually really nice to be able to make a layout that was really about the photos, more just making a nice layout and working with the Project Life kit.

I kept it quite simple and added just a few Stampin Up stamps from the set Point & click plus a few Thickers and gems.

Jobie's Birthday...

Last saturday was my uncle jobie's birthday, this is the card I made for him...

Its a very simple card I made but I think it turned out quite effective and it was a great way to use up scraps! Here I used some of the paper I have left over from Mays's Kreative Kit.

We all went out for dinner to celebrate, we tried 'Smokey's' in Brighton, it was amazing! If you have never been there I really suggest you try it, if you love american style food. Don't judge it on the outside give it a chance and wow your be amazed. The potion size is huge and it all tastes great! They even have sweet potato fries which are my favorite.

Have you ever been? what did you think?

Gorjuss Girls...

About two weeks ago mum and I popped to The Range to get a few bits for my cousin Danny's Holy Communion, that's coming up at the end of May. While we was there though they had an offer on the Gorjuss Girls stamp's 3 For £10, which we just couldn't resist!

We haven't really had the chance to play with them since we got them, This one is called 'I Found My Family In A Book' it was a lovely image to sit and colour and i'm really pleased with the way it turned out (sorry about the photography they second photo is more true to colour). As they are so large they are nice and easy to make a card with as the almost fill it all on their own.

Have you got any Gorjuss Girls?

Cindy's Birthday...

I just want to say happy birthday Cindy I hope you have an amazing day.

Cindy was actually lucky to receive a card from me at all this year because as I was making it, I decided I loved it to much to give away but mum convinced me you can't hang on to everything.:)

This is the finished card -

I really love how it turned out. The background and patterned paper I used is from a 6x6 paper pad from doodlebug called 'Kraft in Color' which is just a picture of all different patterns in the basic colour selection.

I then die cut the banner from the set Justrite 'Buntings & Buttons' in SU Basic Black and also cut out a selection of clouds from a few dies I have (the largest cloud is actually a top of a cupcake)

To finish it all off I just layered it up and used the sentiment from crazy about you stamp set and thinlits dies which I heat embossed with the Wow! powders to give a little shine.

I hope you love it as much as I do.

Happy 14th Birthday Sofie!!

Yesterday was Sofie's 14th birthday, we went to westfeild shopping center for the day, as Sofie is at the stage that she just wants money for her birthday, so she can go shopping and choose her own presents (and we get to enjoy the day). :)

This is the card I made for her...

The patterned paper is from the Simple Stories I Am collection, I am a little obsessed with it, its just so beautiful. Almost to gorgeous to use, but i'm trying to not be a hoarder and enjoy using it not just keep it safe stashed away for years. The yellow bunting at the top is from a Justrite dies set called - Bunting and Buttons Die, which I then embossed in the Swiss dots embossing folder.

This is us at Nando's for dinner (Sofie's choice), it was lovely!

Happy Birthday Sandie!

I made Sandies card using the gorgeous Stampin Up butterfly die, I love this die so much it cuts out so nicely and is just beautiful.

I also heat embossed 'Stitched Circles' Justrite background stamp in 'Azure' which is the perfect match for Stampin Ups Tempting Turquoise.

Hope you had a great day Sandie!

Happy Birthday Kay...

I made Kays Birthday Card this year using some more papers out of the  Teresa Collins, Nine & Co. 6X6 paper pad.

The frame in the center is a Justrite cling stamp from the set called 'Kindness' and the matching dies that are in the set called 'Labels Twenty Set', its one of mum that she has has for quite some time and I have never used it as in the packaging I think it looks a little dated but on this card I really love it! I think stamping in the mint colour on the white card-stock really brings it to life.

Hope you have a great day Kay!

Mary's Birthday Card...

Happy Birthday Mary! This is the card I made for her...

For the flowers I used the Stampin Up stamp and die set called 'Flower Patch' and the patterned background papers are from the My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad called 'Chalk Studio' and The blue border is Stampin Up's 'Pacific Point'

I think this card came together well at the end and is great for the spring. :)

I hope you have a great day Mary.

More Project Life...

Two More Pages Complete :)

The first one is of Grandads 60th Birthday we spent at the grand. I only used one project life card for this layout (the white & grey stripe), for all the rest of I used a selection of Stampin Up card stock.

For the second layout the photos are from when we all spent the day just before Christmas at Longleat Zoo. The paper I used is the 'Frosty Friends' collection from Doodlebug.

Altenew Stamps...

As many of you know mum just treated herself to some new stamp sets from the company Altenew. We both had a play with the set called 'Hennah Elements' the other night.

This is what I created...

They stamp out so perfectly and I think really suit bright bold colours. On the card above I just layered them together then coloured them in with Copics.

On the second card I again layered and then heat embossed them with the WOW! Bright White and I think it really works with these types of flowers (Unfortunately I forgot to use the embossing buddy on the large flower at the bottom! :( but overall it came out ok)

Project Life - Drusillas...

Last week I finished another project Life page off. I am slowly working through my 2014 photos, these were taken back in June when the kids and I visited Drusillas.

I think it is completely different working with older photos because you don't include as much of a story about the day its more of just about making a pretty page with the photos you have.

I remember back at when these photos were taken and Austin was only just starting to pull him self up on things, yet now he is running around crazy and you cant get him to stand still.

Baby Ollie...

One of my best friends Jack became a daddy for the first time yesterday at 10:15 am, to a beautiful and healthy baby boy called Ollie. He really looks such a cutie...

I quickly made this card last night for them. Using the Stampin Up set 'Something For Baby' and the MFT  dies called 'Bottom Line Alphabet'

I cant wait to meet little baby Ollie :)

Ingalilly Digital Stamp...

Kirsty Wiseman posted this cute free digital stamp a few days ago, so Mum and I both challenged ourselves to use it along with this weeks PaperTake Weekly Challenge. The stamps name is Ingalilly and she is the perfect size for on a larger card.

I used the stampin up colours 'Pumpkin Pie' and 'Melon Mambo' which work perfectly with the doodlebug designer paper called 'Pretty Pink Asterisks' I used Copic pens to colour in the image for her face I used the colours E51 & E50, Hair YR31 & Y21, Flowers Y15 & Y17, The orange YR15 & YR16 and for all the pink RV14, RV13, RV10 & RV02. The large sentiment is from Justrite and its called vintage labels four.

Click here to see what mum created.

I'm really happy with the way  mine turned out I have to be honest i'm never really a fan of working with digital stuff but I think this one was ok as I got to color it myself and wasn't restrained to colors that had already been chosen.

A jump back in time...

Today I have a Project Life page to share with you. I worked with some photos that we took back in march 2013 when we visited Nyman's garden for the day.

Most of the cards I used came from the Becky Higgins - Project life kit called Family all through I have mixed other card in as well.

Nymans garden is such a lovely place and there is a really nice tea shop there as well :) Working with the photos has made me really want to go back and visit it again s you never know you might see a new page soon with updated pictures. Have you ever been?
